Red vs Blue (Sydney Fringe) - Expression of Interest

Room for Improvment is one of Sydney South-West's premier improv comedy troupes, having run several sold-out shows, such as "Attack of the 50ft Improv" and "Beach Bash Improv: Extreme", since their inception in 2017. We are currently looking for improvisers from all over NSW to be involved in our next show "Red vs Blue" that will be part of the Sydney Fringe Festival in late September.

"Red vs Blue" is a new competitive improv competition between two teams of four over several themed rounds, where the audience has ultimate control: choosing the game a team plays and their suggestion. At the end of each round, the audience will vote for their favourite scene, awarding that team a point. The team with the most points at the end of the show will be that shows winner, where they'll earn the right to advance to the grand final where they'll compete to be "Red vs Blue Champions" and earn the illustrious $5 cash prize.

Games will range from classic improv games, such as Alphabet and Sentences, to wackier games made popular by Room for Improvment, such as Chilli-prov and Weekend at Bernies. Workshop days will be held where all the cast members will meet one another, form teams and be able to learn the games in their new teams.

Our Sydney Fringe season, slated to be over the last two weeks of September, will see two semi-finals followed by a grand final. This will ensure every cast member will get at least one show, with the possibility of a second.
